Junior "A" - Information

Breaking News !!!

The CYO is presently in negotiations with the Greater Metro Jr "A" Hockey League (GMHL) to form a Junior A Team in the Durham Region. Terry Ruddell our President expects to have a deal cut soon and is expecting to begin putting the infrastructure in place this fall. A draft and summer camp would be expected the following spring & summer.

This is really exciting news for players participating in our local rep league. The GMHL is also excited about this venture as they have recently affiliated with the World Hockey Association and are now planning on expanding their program. The CYO would allow its rep players full choice in which Junior "A" team to try-out for.
